Why people want it
Murder mystery dinners are the best party format nobody hosts, because the setup is brutal: printed character packets, a wary game master passing notes, and everyone frantically re-reading “what am I allowed to say?” A mobile app version fixes the friction — roles, secrets, and clue drops all live in the app, delivered to each player at the right moment, so the host runs the whole night from one screen.
People want it because it makes the party actually reachable. Remote families and friend groups can play from different cities; introverts get their secrets delivered privately instead of on paper that everyone sees; and the game master’s job shrinks from stage-director to pouring wine. The magic of a mystery — the suspicion, the reveal, the “I knew it!” — survives perfectly on screens, as the pandemic-era online party games proved.
